Almost There…

I just added a single, hard-coded card to face in the Heart of the Mountain. That was the final missing piece to be able to play all the way through from beginning to end.

Which does not at all mean that it actually IS ready. There are still plenty of bugs to squash. Every time I add something, two other things break; that's just basic coding. And I know that when I release the alpha version to friends and family, it will still have plenty of rough edges… but right now it's still rough enough to draw blood. I want honest appraisals, but I don't want anyone to get a lousy first impression just because I didn't take the time to clean it up a bit.

So, back to playtesting. Find bugs, squash them, repeat. Try to think about whether there's anything that seems normal to me because I've been staring at this for so long, that won't make immediate sense to someone seeing it for the first time. I'm nowhere close to creating a tutorial or help system or anything like that, and I can rely on the fact that everyone I'm sending it to has already seen the tabletop version. But it still needs to be as simple as I can make it.
